The grueling season 2 of Heroes recently saw its conclusion, and it featured Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia) saving the day by destroying a deadly virus. However, his brother Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) was assassinated during a press conference. There is an air of uncertainty, though, as both Ventimiglia and the fans are unsure what will become of Nathan, as the last episode featured him sprawled on the floor and on the brink of death. "I really hope he's not going anywhere," the 30-year-old actor who plays the superpowered Peter said in a conversation with the Associated Press. "That would be really disappointing to me to lose a brother and an amazing scene partner. I'm sure it's all going to work out the way it's supposed to." Moreover, Ventimiglia recognizes the fact that it isn't just Nathan that fans of the show should be worried about, as the whole show still lies in the hands of the writers, who are still on strike. Due to this, the cast and crew have not seen any new scripts yet, and must wait until the WGA strike is over to see any new developments for the show. ""We ran out of stuff to shoot," he explained. "That's basically what it boils down to." While Heroes is on hold, Ventimiglia sought out other projects to keep him busy. He is currently working as both producer and star in the first episode of a series of holiday-themed stop-animation short movies for American Eagle Outfitters. Other notable celebrities in the short films include Lil Jon, Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz, and Kristen Bell, who is coincidentally one of the newbies in Heroes. Ventimiglia's animated counterpart will be sporting the longer hair he had during Heroes' season 1, as he now is sporting a much shorter 'do. "I thought we should go with the bangs because they're more recognizable," he revealed to the Associated Press. Ventimiglia will also be working on two upcoming movies Game and The Chaos Theory, aside from the short films. "I try and take a break and take a vacation," he said. "But I keep getting wrapped up in jobs."
